Celebration of life for Joy Dickey will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Pentecostal of the Twin Cities with Pastor Jason Ramsey and Bishop Mark Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM until services time at the church under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Joy was born August 24, 1944 in Sikes, LA and passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on January 16, 2023. She was a faithful member of Pentecostals of the Twin Cities for 53 years. Joy taught children’s Sunday School for over 40 years and was also involved in the nursing home ministry. Joy loved God and was a faithful servant and loved spending time with her family. She retired from Chase Bank after 30 years of loyal service as a bank teller. Joy is preceded in death by her mother Joyce Lindsey and brother Bobby Lindsey.
Joy is survived by her husband James Dickey; son Kenn Dickey and wife Misty; daughter Kim Franks and husband Barry; brother Glen Lindsey and wife Barbara; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Dickey, Joshua Franks, David Dickey, Glen Lindsey, Mark McQuillin and Trenton Frost.
The Dickey family would like to thank their church family the Pentecostals of the Twin Cities and Apostolic Restoration Church for all the love, care and support they have provided during this lengthy illness.
