Joseph G. Lewis Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral services for J. G. Lewis, age 80, of Simsboro will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 23 , 2012 at the Simsboro First Baptist Church . Officiating the service will be Rev. Ronnie Cathey. Interment will follow at Simsboro Cemetery, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mr. Lewis was born May 5, 1932 and passed away September 19, 2012. Mr. Lewis was a member of Simsboro First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amy Lee and Grady Lewis. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Lewis: his children: Gary W. Lewis and wife Dana of Simsboro, LA; Nancy Kelley and her husband Barry of Karnack, TX; grandchildren: Joey Lewis of EL Dorado, AR; Casey Kelley of Karnack TX; and Danni Kelley of Bossier City, LA; brothers: Robert Lewis of Malvern, AR and Malcolm Lewis of Homer LA; sister: Elena DeWolf of Conroe, TX; sisters in law: Mary Jane Mullins of Columbia, LA; and Peggy May of Ruston, LA; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Simsboro First Baptist Church with Mikey Reeves and Mike Roberson serving as honorary pallbearers.
