Joseph Edward Jarrett was born May 5, 1993 and left us January 5, 2023. To most he was known as Joseph, but his loved ones had different nicknames like Joe, Jojo, Joey, My Joe, Bubba and baby boy.
Joseph’s personality was bigger than life itself and he gave the best bear hugs. Once you ever received one from him, it left you wanting so many more.
Joseph was always in the middle of the kids playing with them. It didn’t matter if it was sitting in the dirt or coloring pictures. His love for them always shined through whenever he was with them.
Joseph would be there when someone needed him. It didn’t matter what time of day you called he would come. When his great-grandmother Lillian asked “where is Joe“, all we had to do was call him and he came to see her. Even though it hurt Joseph so bad to see her the last few months of her life, he would still come because she wanted him there. She loved him as much as he loved her. Joseph was preceded in death by his Papaw Billy, Papaw Tony, Great-Grandma Lillian and Uncle Joshua.
Left to mourn the loss of Joseph include his children Kaydence, Mya, Josiah and Whyatt; mother Kayla and husband Brad Cady; father Eddie Jarrett; sisters Mackenzie Cady, Paige Jarrett (Keith) and Alisha Silvie (Marcus); grandparents Deborah McCready, Cynthia Cady, Edward and Shirley Jarrett; uncles and aunts Chris Aday (Bessie), Jeremiah Jarrett (Midonna), Angie Aday, Julie Flores (Greg), Jeanna Esters (Toby); his companion Rachel and her children Bray’Lee, Tallon, Ayden, as well as extended family and many friends who loved him so much. Joseph had a special bond with all of his cousins.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 2:30 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
