Funeral services for Johnnye Elizabeth Hinton Masters will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Aimoch Cemetery near Jena, Louisiana. Brother Bobby Porter and Gayle Porter will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, Louisiana.Johnnye was born June 25, 1935 in Olla, Louisiana and passed away after a lengthy illness on March 9, 2019 in Monroe, Louisiana. She was a retired telephone operator for Bell South. Johnnye is preceded in death by her husband, Don C. Masters; son, Paul Masters; parents, Henry and Hilda Hinton.Johnnye is survived by her daughter, Marsha Masters Hughes and husband Cary; sons, John Alden Masters and wife Cindy, Don Mark Masters; sister, Mary Juliette Callahan; grandchildren, Cary Andrew Hughes, Jonathan Daniel Hughes, Rebekah Christi Masters Spann, Rachel Elizabeth Masters, Lacee Masters; great-grandchildren, Lila Drew Hughes, Lennon Nash Hughes, Turner Daniel Hughes, Adaline Bonds, Nathan Bonds, Maxwell Thompson, Keiler Allen; sisters-in-law, Gayle Masters Porter, Teresa Black Masters; many other cherished family and friends.The family would like to thank Ouachita Healthcare and Rehabilitation for their loving care and support of Johnnye for the last five (5) years.In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P O Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or at StJude.orgOnline condolences may be extended to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com Kilpatrick Funeral Homes ~ Monroe
