Johnny Wayne Thomas Kilpatrick Funeral Homes Farmerville, LA Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Wayne Thomas, age 68, of Bossier City, LA., will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville. Officiating the service will be Rev. John Saunders. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Taylor Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA. Mr. Thomas was born on June 27, 1943 and passed away on April 22, 2012 after a brief illness. He was a member of Wards Chapel Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired LA. State Trooper. He had also worked for Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office, Lincoln Parish Probation and Parole, Farmerville Police, Union Parish Sheriff's Office, Automatic Gas Company in Headerson, TX; and Chevyland in Shreveport, LA. Survivors include his wife Barbara Thomas of Bossier City, LA; sons, John Walker and wife Jeri kay of Wauchula, FL: Morris Brossette of Dallas, TX; daughters, Deann Smith and husband Wayne of Valley View, TX; Diann Cook of Shreveport, LA; Susan Turner and husband Chris of Keithville, LA; grandchildren, Jansen Kay Walker, Jamie Kay Walker; Breann Smith, Brooke Smith; Matthew Rayne Gibson, Tanner Sims; and Emily and Claire Turner; brother, Rex Thomas of Farmerville, LA; previous wife Faye Ramsey Thomas of Farmerville, LA; grandmother of Jamie and Jansen Walker; with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers are Bob Buckley, Craig Cook, Sidney LeVasseur, Joe LeVasseur, Ronnie Poche' and Chris Turner. Honorary Pallbearers are Ben Thomas, Jason Thomas, Andy Roan, and Andy McCullen. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Memorials may be sent to American Cancer Society.
