Johnny Gilbert of Farmerville, Louisiana passed away at his home on April 18, 2021 at the age of 69.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Loraine Gilbert; sister, Treeba Gilbert Ryder; and niece, Theresa Ryder Brantley.
John is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sue Gilbert; sons Ricky Kennedy (Melissa), Gary Kennedy (Mandy), and Terry Kennedy (Dalila); numerous grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces, and nephews.
John was a member of Lake Missionary Baptist Church. He was an outdoorsman, that loved to hunt and fish. He is also survived by his four-legged companion, “Little Girl”. After graduating high school, John served as a sergeant in the United States Air Force.
A graveside service will be held at Sardis Cemetery on April 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 10:00 AM.
