John Wesley Odom was born November 3, 1934 in Columbia, LA and entered his heavenly home on December 18, 2020. Funeral services will be held December 21st at 2PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Viewing and condolences will be from 1PM until time of service. Officiating will be his son-in-law, Tab Peters.
John was a loving and devoted husband to Betty Lou for 63 years and wonderful father to three daughters. He was a member of Peniel Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. John worked for Riverwood for over 45 years where he took a short leave of absence to proudly serve his country in the Army. His favorite hobbies were working in the yard, growing a vegetable garden, camping with family and friends and riding his motorcycle. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling to different states with his sister, Ruby and her husband, Billy. They especially loved trips during the fall to see the beautiful foliage. John’s greatest joy came from spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou; mother, Onie Clark; father John Draper Odom; sisters, AdaLee Clark, Jean Autonberry, Ruby Johnston; and brother, Lee Edward Clark.
John is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Eunson, Becky Wink and her husband Danny, Melissa Peters and her husband Tab; his grandchildren, Dana Bilello, Daniel Wink, Josh Wink, Tabitha West, Travis Eunson, Scott Eunson, and Wesley Peters; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Bilello, Ava Bilello, Elyse West, Ali Bilello, Jonah Bilello, Audrey West, Bristol Eunson, and Thomas West.
