Funeral Services for John Warren Sylvest, age 39, will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 6, 2023, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, in Ruston, LA. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. until service time.
John was born on April 28, 1983, to John and Diana Sylvest, in Baton Rouge, LA. He passed from this life on January 2, 2023, following an extended illness. He was a Police Officer for Louisiana Tech University, of Ruston, and was a Member of Signa Pi Fraternity. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Truman and Diana Stubbs Sylvest.
John is survived by his sister, Lauren Sylvest of Lafayette, LA.; his fiancé, Kasey McConnaughey; and stepson, Camden McConnaughey of Ruston, LA.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Louisiana Law Enforcement Memorial Fund.

Sorry for your loss have good memories working over at Louisiana tech with him I worked with food service he was in the police station always there for me if I needed him very sweet loving kind person I work at tractor supply now and it was always good to see him come in to tractor supply the last time I saw him was about a year ago he came in a wheelchair such great memories I have sending prayers up
