Mr. John Wallace Clinton Funeral services for John Wallace Clinton, 84, of Bayou L'ourse, LA., will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Mt. Union Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA. Interment will follow at Church Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr. Wallace was born on August 11, 1927 in Mt. Enterprise, Texas and passed away on May 8, 2012 in Morgan City. He was born to the late Joe and Thelma Clinton. He was a life-time resident of Bayou L'ourse and a loving family man. John worked at Chevron until retirement. He was a devoted employee who believed in working hard. After retirement, he worked at Rouses and made lasting friendships. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Many of his family members will have lasting memories of good times spent at the camp. They tell stories of fun times and great food that always ends in a card game. Other than good food and fun with family, John also enjoyed keeping a garden and fishing. He was a World War ll Veteran of the United States Army, and was stationed in Germany as a Military Police Officer. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Clinton; mother, Thelma Clinton; wife, Dorothy Clinton; two sons, Paul and Carl Clinton; stepson, Danny Johnson, and great-granddaughter, Kandiss Richard. John is survived by; his son, Charles Clinton, and wife, Kay, of Patterson; daughter, Connie Peebles and special friend, Zack, of Gonzales; and step son, Bobby Johnson and wife, Pat, of Gray. John will also be remembered by his six grandchildren; Kristie Garner, Lisa Ingram, David Clinton, Bobby Johnson Jr., Katie Landry, and Debra Richard, as well as fourteen great grandchildren.
