John O. Brantley Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville, LA Services for John O. Brantley, 75 of Haile, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Officiating the service will be Terry Cole. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Interment will follow in Dean Baptist Church cemetery in Dean Community. Mr. Brantley passed away February 11, 2013. He was born in Marion on August 21, 1937. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Haile. He was a retired consultant for Anadarko in Texas. He worked in the oil field all his adult life. He loved to sing and play country music. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. We loved his laughter and we miss him already. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Emma Brantley, brother James “Pate” Brantley and wife Norma, sister Mittie Mae Fletcher, nephew Ted Sims and niece Tammy Snell. He is survived by the love of his life Shirley Brantley, his twin daughters Janet Don Smith; Janice Gary Haacks, Danny Brantley Angie; daughter Jennifer Robert Thatcher of Zapata Texas. Grandchildren Heather Guy Ganey; Mason Smith; Hillary Dale Dupree; Deacon Kallie Haacks; Natalie Ryan Johnson; Kelli Martin; Landon Haacks; Jessie Brantley; Wesley Brantley Ariel; Halee Brantley BJ; Samatha Thatcher; Michael Thatcher and fourteen great- grandchildren; brothers Joe “Cain” Betty Brantley; Jerry Ann Brantley; sisters Judy Jerry Smith; Doris Larry Gilbert; Jean Mickey Caldarera; friends Brenda and Joe Baldwin. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Mason Smith, Deacon Haacks, Landon Haacks, Wesley Brantley, Dale Dupree, Ryan Johnson, and Guy Ganey. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons: Jessie Brantley, and Michael Thatcher Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation and Spanish Mission in care of Larry White in Farmerville.
