So sorry to hear about John’s passing. He was truly a special person to many of us in our younger years of Young People’s Meetings among several Baptist churches in the Springhill area. He sang at both of my parents” funeral - he was loved by all of us! May God bless you and be with you especially at this time. (From the children of Buddy & Delma Griggs - Plain Dealing , LA)

If I had to choose one word to describe John, it would be sweetheart, as that is what he was to me. He was sweet, kind, loving, supporter of gospel music and when I had a convention, talented, loved to pick on you, and laughed loudly with his own distinct laugh. He was the only person except my grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins who called me Susie out of his affection for me. I loved me some John Blake. I will miss him alot, but I'm so happy that he is no longer suffering and joined that Heavenly choir. I can almost see that big smile and hear that laughter. Brenda, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers for God to hold you close with peace, comfort, understanding and direction. Brenda, I'm holding you close with love and hugs. Go run them streets of Glory John Blake. I love you my friend❣️

Praying for Jesus to comfort the heart’s of family and friends. There is nothing more comforting to know that if you live for Jesus and follow Jesus you will see your loved ones again in Heaven where you will spend eternity with them. Nothing is more important than our salvation.
