Funeral services for John Danford, 78, of Monroe will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Norman Bryant and Rev. John Yates officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Danford was born on June 22, 1935 in Lebo, KS and passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in Monroe, LA. He retired in 1991 from Bell-South/AT&T Telecommunications after 27 years employment. He then was employed with Sam's Club for over 18 years in various roles. He was a member of Rowland Road Baptist Church in Monroe for over 35 years. John was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially at the lake. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra Danford; 3 children, Michael Danford and wife, Diana, Katrina Russell and husband, Barry, and Kimberly Danford-Berry; brothers, Frank Danford and Homer Danford and wife, Charlene; sisters, Margaret Henkle and Frances Adams and husband, Hoyle; grandchildren, Schylar Berry, Kelly Danford, Zachary Russell, Kara Danford, and Daniel Russell; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. Pallbearers will be, Cecil Fritch, James Adams, James Perryman, Mark Lockard, Stan Wyant, and Bobby Kerrigan. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, July 19, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
