Funeral services for John Benjamin JB Jenkins, 75, of Ruston will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church. Dr. Reggie Bridges will officiate. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in Hilly, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 6 from 1-3 PM prior to the service at the church.John JB Jenkins was born on June 4, 1943 in Wichita Falls, TX to Troy and Sarah Reba Jenkins, and passed away on October 3, 2018 in Ruston. JB was a truck driver for ONeal Gas for many years. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. JB was preceded in death by his parents and his son, John Benjamin Jenkins, Jr.Left to cherish JB memory are his children: James Robbie Jenkins and wife Angela, Tina Jenkins, and Melanie Jenkins McGivney and husband Kevin; brother, Tommy Jenkins and wife Jackie; sister, Nancy White and husband Alan; grandchildren: Jacob Jenkins, Emma Dornier, Sara Dornier, Brenan Barnette, Isabella Barnette; step-granddaughters, Shelbey McGivney and Marcela Carmichael; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.Honoring JB as pallbearers are Sean Brown, Jacob Jenkins, Kevin McGivney, Jeff Bradshaw, Jason Council, and Stan Crawford. I will never forget my first day of school at Hillcrest Elem as a nervous first grader. JB was a 5th grader and was there as I got off the bus to help me find my room and my teacher. I will never forget JB and what he did for me that day. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Even though I did not know JB (the father) as well as others in my family I do know his son and his son's great strength and high values .... enough said.

Much much love for this sweet man. The Alpine therapy team thought of him as family. Great memories that I will always have of him making our Physical Therapist ,Millie , scream every single day as he snuck in to ‚Äúgoose‚Äù her. It worked every single time!!! He will be greatly missed.

Words never seem to be adequate in attempting to describe your feelings in times like these. JB and his entire family were a big part of our life all those years we spent at Calvary. They were great and are certainly among the most cherished we have. JB was a good person and will certainly be missed.

We will miss you, our beloved friend.. RIP with the angel as you walk upon the streets of gold..
