Funeral services for John A. Myers of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ. Rev. Jimmy Williams and Rev. Bill Hearne will officiate. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. John was born on July 21, 1960 in Athens, Tennessee and passed away on September 23, 2016 in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University and worked as a certified insurance counselor with Hogan Agency for over 25 years. John attended Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe and was passionate about helping others. He will be dearly missed.Survivors include his wife Wanda Kaye Myers; son, Justin Myers (Brittany); daughters, Jenna Myers and Kristin Myers; brothers, Buddy Myers (Beth), Richard Myers (Kim), and Steven Myers (Tracy); and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Richard Myers, Buddy Myers and Steven Myers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Ware, Walter Haynes and Bo Taylor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. I will truly miss John. I was so looking forward to talk with him when I returned back from medical leave Monday, but the Lord had other plans. We had a lot of good conversation and it was a pleasure to work with him. John, we all loved you, but God love you more.Wanda and Kristin, keep talking about him and all the good times you had with him.I pray that God will strengthen all of us who loved him... Again, he will truly be missed.

Wanda and Kristen, so very sorry for your loss. Our Hearts are sadden for you during this time of sadness.. Kristen if you ever need someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on please don't hesitate to call Sabre', She knows all too well what you are going thru and the difficult road ahead.. Wanda I am here if you need someone also.. It is not easy nor will it get easy. We just lean on the Lord for comfort and strength to make it day by day.. Please know we are praying for you all.

I offer my condolences for the loss of John. Continue to lean on family and friends for support. God gives us comfort and hope at Isaiah 26:19 when we mourn on occasions like this. May you find the strength to endure the days ahead.

Wanda I am so sorry for your loss. I used to work with John at Hogans Insurance Agency and he was always such a gentleman. I ran into him at the Market Place recently and it was good to see him again and talk with him. I will be praying for you and your family during this difficult time.
