Funeral services for A. B. (Joe) Stidams of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 3, 2023 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Danny McIlveene officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Joe retired after serving 20 years in the United States Air Force, which included a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of Community Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Joe was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Barak Shrine Temple Clowns where he was known as “Lil Joe”. He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Tilda Stidams and 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Crocker Stidams; daughters, Sherry Sue Stidams and Brenda Townsend and husband Ronnie; 2 grandchildren, Luke Townsend and wife Jessica, Cody Townsend and fiancé Lacey Brister and Braxton; brothers, Wayne Stidams and wife Tracy, George Stidams and wife Joann; sisters, Billie May and Pat Koher and husband Kevin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Smith, Henry Hanson, Tom Peters, Harvey Hanson, Buck Bounds and John Vines II.
