Graveside services for Joe Ralph Crain, 85, of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 12, 2012 at Liberty @ Linville Cemetery in Linville, LA with Father Joe Puthuppally officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Crain was born on September 4, 1926 in Collinston, LA and passed away on March 7, 2012 in Monroe, LA. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe. He was a highly decorated veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in World War II. He was a retired oil field driller and loved to play bluegrass music. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona “Lee” in 2000, two sisters, and a daughter, Patricia Lynn in 1999. He is survived by his son, Tom Waggoner and wife, Linda and a daughter, Sheilah Bomar; grandchildren: Robert Waggoner, LeeAnne Waggoner, Jennifer Hauff and husband, Kory and Tonya Bale; 9 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
