Funeral services for JoAnn Peters, 75, of West Monroe will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Peniel Baptist Church. Rev. Eddy Shoemaker and Rev. Clint Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.JoAnn was born October 2, 1938 in Stuttgart, Arkansas and passed from this life on March 15, 2014 in West Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie Cole and Richard Gardner; her husband Robert Pete Peters; daughter, Beverly Ann Peters; grandchildren, Johnny & Tammy Fletcher, and Donnie Gills. JoAnn was a member of Peniel Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a hairdresser for many years and worked in the medical field for over 30 years. She also loved cooking and having family gatherings.JoAnn is survived by her son, Tab Peters and wife Melissa; 4 daughters; Janice Parker, Theresa Casper and husband Joe, Doris Peters, Frances Wood and husband Hugh; sister, Billie Fletcher; three brothers, Pete Barlow and wife Mickie, David Barlow, Gene Barlow and wife Judy; grandchildren; Charlie and wife Kristie Watkins, Dawn Watkins, Shannon and wife Marcy Casper, Daniel and wife Tiffany Casper, Jody and husband Randem Evans, Christopher and wife Whitney King, Justin and wife Andrea King, Kelli and husband Marcus Coats, Chas and wife Danielle Hanna, Brian Hanna, Eli Truan, Tabitha and husband Evan West, and Wesley Peters; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Christopher King, Justin King, Chas Hanna, Charlie Watkins, Wesley Peters, Eli Truan, Hugh Wood, and Marcus Coats.Special thanks to Dr. Sanjay A. Joseph and wife, Mary along with his entire staff.Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Peniel Baptist Church.Memorials may be made to Peniel Baptist Church.

To Tab, Melissa, Doris, Fran and your entire family. I am so sorry for your loss and wish I was there to hug all of you. I have such fond memories of Mrs.Joann when she was our Acteens leader at Peniel. She let a bunch of giggling girls bake cakes in her kitchen and then went with us to deliver them to the nursing home. I'll always remember her smile and kind heart. Praying for peace for the family.
