Funeral services for JoAnn Haynes Rand, 79, of Monroe, LA will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 21, 2012 at Parkview Baptist Church, Monroe with Pastor Erby Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Vicksburg City Cemetery, Vicksburg, MS under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. JoAnn was born on November 26, 1932 in Quitman County, MS and passed away on September 17, 2012 in Monroe, LA. She was a retired Registered Nurse and was a graduate of Kings Daughters Nursing School. She loved football, was devoted to her grandchildren and had a special relationship with granddaughter Bailee Ann, supported Good Shepherd School and was a devoted member of Parkview Baptist Church, serving in the Parkview Home Bound Ministry. She was preceded in death by father, W. T. Haynes, Sr; mother, Jo Elizabeth T. Haynes Worthy; and brother, James Eugene Haynes. She is survived by her sons: Charles L. Rand III of Monroe, LA and Wade M. Rand of Chicago, IL; daughters: Ann Rand Howard and husband, David of Monroe, LA and Christy Rand Arango of Monroe, LA; granddaughters, Bailee Ann Howard and Deanna Arango; grandsons: Shane Gulledge, Jason Gulledge, Joseph Gulledge, Christopher Arango and great-grandson, Lazarus Arango; sisters, Virginia Louise Hughes of Brandon, MS; Angela Rutherford of Columbus, MS; and Gwen Kelly of Hattiesburg, MS. Pallbearers will be Dr. Michael Bergeron, Dr. Madura Rangaraj, David Howard, Rohan Rangaraj, Wade M. Rand, and Charles L. Rand III. Honorary pallbearers will be David Burkett, Esq., Frank Bergeron, and Robert Simmons. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA. Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, Billy Graham Ministries, St. Francis Hospital, or the charity of your choice.
