Jo Anne Maxwell of Ruston, age 69, passed away March 13, 2007. Memorial services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, where Mrs. Maxwell was a long time member. The services will be conducted by The Reverend Rolly Walker, The Reverend Fred Wideman and The Reverend Andy Hurst. The services will be under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Friends will be received on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Trinity United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Mrs. Maxwell was a faithful and devoted wife, mother and friend who will always be remembered and loved. Her ceaseless courage and constant concern for others have left their life long impact on all who surrounded her during her last years. Preceding her in death were her parents Winnie and Jimmy Zerkus of Pascagoula, Mississippi. Surviving her are her husband Johnny Maxwell, their son John and his wife Tiphanie of Ruston, their daughter Jennifer Maxwell Lind of Tulsa, Oklahoma and five grandchildren including Johnny Maxwell, Anna Lind, Mary Kathryn Maxwell, Andrew Lind and Anderson Maxwell. Other survivors include one brother James Zerkus and his wife Camille of Pascagoula, Mississippi, a special aunt, Nina Bartlett of Jackson, Mississippi, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. Honorary pallbearers include Tommy James, James Davison, Jerry Johnston, Ken Mabry, George Parkman and Scotty Robertson. The family expresses their gratitude for the many expressions of prayers and love these past four years from so many caring friends. All memorials will be appreciated and may be made according to the choice of the giver.
