Funeral services for Jimmy Hart will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Christian Life Church 6680 Frontage Rd Monroe, LA with Pastor Danny Chance officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the church under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Jimmy was born March 8, 1938 in Mangham, LA and passed away December 15, 2020 in West Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Algae and Mattie Hart; siblings Ed Hart, Claude Hart, Bill Hart, Edna Mae Hart Hair, Pearlie Hart Berry and Glen Hart.
Jimmy was a loyal man of strong faith and had a servant’s heart. He made his career with the City of West Monroe as the Building and Zoning Inspector, where he served for over 30 years. He was an active member and pillar of Christian Life Church for over 50 years. When he retired, he was the oldest and longest employee of the city. Daddy was avid bird hunter and enjoyed his many hunting trips to Kanas with his lifelong friends. His first love was his wife, Sue, and his daughters were his world. The other loves of his life were his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who called him Papaw. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in their many activities. He was loyal supporter of his alumni, West Monroe High School.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 62 years Barbara “Sue” Hart;3 daughters; Tomeca Hart Fenner (Rick), Donna Hart Pilcher (Jeff) and Karen Sue Hart; grandchildren; Damon Bourghs(Kristen), Golden Wright (Tara), Leslie Pritchard (Nathan), Cody Fenner(Hailey), Andrea Cherie’ Siratt (Mark), Justin Shipp, Jessica Brianna Kirkland (Johnathan), Ronald Wayne Roberts, Jr. (Peyton), Kylee Pilcher (Taylor), Tyler Pilcher, Zachary Jones and (Talya), Ashley Victoria Dobbs and (Matt), Connor Wilkes (Paige); 20 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Hart (Jeanie); sister, Lois Hart Antley.
Pallbearers will be Roy Wiggins, Ron Bush, Jay Bush, Joey Guess, Roger Dale Berry, Lynn Antley, Scotty Hart, Brian Hart
Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Dennis Evans and Rev. Tom Massey, Brian Allen, Rev. Bennie Jones, Jerry Hibbard
