Funeral services will be held for Jessie R. Davis on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Peniel Baptist Church. Rev. Dale Mercer and Rev. Matthew Walker will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Jessie was born July 15, 1928 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away July 31, 2018 in West Monroe. He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Davis and twin sister Jewell Hodges, sister Bessie; father Ellis Davis and mother Maggie Davis. He loved his family and the Lord and great-grandchildren. Jessie loved his church and the love of his life, his wife Annie.Jessie is survived by his son, Jerry W. Davis and wife Rhonda; daughter Kathy Davis Spillers and husband Arvelle; sister Jenny Salamon; 2 grandsons Jeremy Davis and wife Meredith, Jay W. Spillers and wife Carmen; 3 granddaughters, Kristen Davis and husband Rick, Jansen Hinton and husband Chris, Kesley Oliver and husband Cobey; great-grandchildren, Juliana Spillers, Katlyne Spillers, Sammy Spillers, Mackenzie Oliver, Chance Oliver, Leighton Davis, Maddie Davis, Miller Davis, Justin Arendsen, Garrett Arendsen and Emma Hinton.
