Jessie “Wade” McCarty, a lifelong resident of West Monroe LA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 11, 2022. He was born on January 21, 1965 and graduated from West Monroe High School. After attending trade school, Wade went to work for Angus/Dow Chemical where he retired after 30 years. To know Wade was to love him. He loved people and was always a phone call away for anyone who needed him. Wade’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his daughter, Danielle and grandson, Bentley, along with his other family members including his niece, Karagan Stanford, who spent every summer visiting from Alabama. Wade was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He loved attending LSU football games with Danielle, Brandon, Donnie and D.J. and his favorite Sunday pastime was watching the Saints.
Wade is survived by his high school sweet heart and loving wife of 38 years, Linda McCarty; his daughter, Danielle Sutherland and husband Brandon; his grandson, Bentley Sutherland; his mother, Mary Josephine McCarty; mother and father ~in ~law, Donnie and Sally Patrick; his siblings Kim Alford, Gail Covington and husband David, Clayton McCarty and wife Judy; many other cherished family and friends who will greatly miss him. He is preceded in death by his father, Jessie Odell McCarty; brother ~in ~law, Dennis Alford; and special friend of the family, Beth Durham.
Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, Louisiana on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5:00 ~ 7:00 P.M and the funeral will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes ~ West Monroe. Rev. Eugene Brown and Pastor Norman Bryant will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to United Way of Northeast Louisiana.
Wade will be truly missed by all.
