Officiating the service will be Rev. Michael Redford and Paul Ford. Mr. Shively was born January 15, 1944 and passed away June 17, 2015.He was preceded in death by his daughter Kellie Hardey; sister: Margie ONeal, and Ethel Jolley; brothers: Edwin Humpy Shively, Leroy Shively and Dewitt Shively. He is survived by his wife Blenda Shively of Dubach; sons: Tony Shively of Jonesboro, Robbie Dean of Dubach and T.J. Johnston of Dubach; daughters: Delana Croft of Irving , TX; Melissa Bowman of Ansley, Deshae Dean of Jonesboro and Lacey Perry of Sand Springs, OK; brother: Simon Shively of Shreveport ; nephew : Don Shively of Ruston; and 16 grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com

I just noticed the death notice. Not sure I ever met him recognize the names. as my parents knew them....especially Ethel. Parents were Bill Morgan and Lucille (Shively) Morgan...born 1920 + -. I did not grow up in central La.,my parents had moved to Shreveport but visited the Gansville, Winnfield area many times with my parents. I am sorry to hear about your loss. If you would like to share some of your family history, I am interested to see where they fit into the Shively family tree.
