Preceding him in death was his mother Virginia Hammons. Jerry grew up in a loving Christian home along with brothers Keith, Kenneth, and Timothy. Jerry from a young age had a love of all things mechanical and the outdoors, two pursuits he continued throughout his life.Jerry met and married the love of his life Donna Gayle Bollich and they were the example of true Christian love and how Gods love shines on each of us. Donna and Jerry were so fortunate to have children of their own and grandchildren to spoil and enjoy. Together Donna and Jerry raised two wonderful children Joshua and Brittany. Subsequently, the Lord blessed their children and spouses Emily and CJ, with the same love of the Lord and the blessing of children. Donna and Jerry shared in the love of this blessing and spoiling of Josh and Emily three boys Ayden, Johnny, and Ryder; and Brittany and CJ two girls Lily and Abigail.Jerry was such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. Jerry shared many days of enjoyment fishing with his father Cleve, and just being boys (men) with his brothers. Above all Jerry was a man with a heart larger than life that demonstrated true Christian values and embodied the scripture that love is patient, love is kind. He was salt of the earth- a man among men, a mentor, a teacher, one who always put the well being of family ahead of his own.Jerry loved the outdoors and had a special friend and mentor in his father in- law Elmo Bollich. Elmo and Jerry were the epitome of two true gentlemen that enjoyed every minute they spent together. Jerry love for the outdoors was contagious and he passed this along to his children and son-in-law.God called Jerry to be with him on August 31, 2018 very suddenly and unexpectedly. God hand is on Donna and her family and we ask everyone for prayers and thoughts to guide Jerry family through this most difficult hour.Jerry legacy lives on through his wife, children and grandchildren. Hell be remembered for his wonderful Christian attitude, contagious smile, and his love for his family, friends, and life.Online condolence messages may be sent to the family www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeFarmerville, LA.
