Funeral services for Jerry Dale Smead Sr. of West Monroe will be  held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 30, 2021 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Bro. Roger Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Jerry was born August 2, 1940 and passed away October 26, 2021. He was a retired carpenter. Jerry loved spending time with his family and his grandbabies. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Dale Smead, Jr; a grandchild, Courtney Smead; 3 brothers, George Smead, Jr., Jimmy Smead and Terry Smead.

Jerry is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Shirley Smead; 3 children, Dave Smead and wife Aline, Sherry Stafford and husband Walter and Genie Smead; 2 sisters, Carolyn Ogier and husband Howard and Pat Saulsbury and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Dave Smead Jr., Allen Wyles, Jessica Ates, Haley Jones, Hannah Moncrief, Holden Stafford, Katlynn McManus and Daniel McManus; 9 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dave Smead Jr., Walter Stafford, Trey Jones, Daniel McManus, Allen Wyles and Holden Stafford.
