Jennifer Annette Villarreal, beloved wife, mother, and step-grandmother, passed away suddenly on December 9, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Bastrop, Louisiana, July 23, 1980. She was the oldest child belonging to Sarah McDonald Rucker and Danny Rucker.
Jenny graduated from Bastrop High School in 1998. She continued her education receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2002. She then also went on to achieve her Masters of Social Work from Texas State University in 2017.
Family and friends were the most important things in her life. She loved attending concerts of her favorite bands and vacationing with her family to every beach that she could. She always went out her way to make all of her friends and family feel special and enjoyed spending as many holidays as possible with all of them.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, devoted husband, Christopher R. Villarreal; loving children, Christian, Ryan, and Evan Villarreal; precious step-grand child Kendall Garcia; beloved mother Sarah McDonald Rucker and father Danny Rucker; dear brothers Victor Villarreal, Jeremy Rucker, Phillip Hughes, Adrian Renfro, Chris Hughes, and John Hughes; adored grandmothers Anne “Nonna” King and Patricia June McDonald: as well as a host of wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Earl McDonald and her paternal grandparents Leon and Joy Hughes.
Visitation will take place from 5:00P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday, December 18, 2020, at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA 71201. A pre-viewing will be held at 9:00 A.M., Saturday, December 19, 2020 with funeral services following at 10:30 A.M. also at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes~ Monroe. Per her wishes, Jennifer will be cremated and her ashes kept by loved ones.
