Funeral services for Jeffery Jeff Adam Kirkland will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, West Monroe. Bro. Ed Jordan will officiate. Interment will follow at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Jeff was born April 7, 1981 and passed away October 28, 2016. He worked for numerous contractors and was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in West Monroe. Jeffery was a part of the American Legion Hall, Post 201. He served in the United States Marine Corps and proudly fought for his country in the Iraq War. Jeff s love was his family and the Marine Corps. Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents, H.H. and Florence Kirkland and Erby and Bea Tisdale.Jeff is survived by his wife, Amber Gates Kirkland; daughter, Kaitlyn Kirkland and son, Ty Kirkland; parents; Jerry and Bonnie Kirkland; brother, Michael Kirkland and wife Brenda; sister, Kristy Kirkland Lenard and husband Jody; nieces, Alaina Nash and husband Chance, Lindsay Canterberry, Alanta Lenard, Leslie Kirkland, Emily Eves, Allie Eves and Ella Kirkland ; nephew, Hunter Canterberry and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law; Butch and Jan Gates; brother-in-law; Tadd Gates and wife Amber; and their children Alli and Auri Gates.Pallbearers will be Josh Smith, Jim Cox, Jarrod Smalling, Kyle McConkey, Chris Davis and Clint Weaver.
