Graveside services for Jane Elizabeth Price, 86, formerly of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.Jane Elizabeth Price was born November 4, 1932 in Ruston, LA. On May 18, 2019, Jane was called to her Heavenly home. Jane was preceded in death by her father Cornelius Thompson, Mother Mittie May Bowman, Step father Clem Elkins, as well as her step sister Dot Bawcom. Jane beloved husband of over fifty years, Frederick Henry Price, also of Ruston, passed away in 2011.Both strong patriots, Jane and Fred met while voting absentee. Jane was a retired school teacher of many years whose heart was always with her family, young children, and church. Volunteering, playing piano, and serving others were just a few ways of sharing her faith. She never met a stranger and even through her long journey with health issues, she had a knack for making special connections with those around her. She never complained of her struggles as she spent the last number of years living at The Village of Gleannloch Farms. It was clear that she felt a close bond with all that cared for her there. Our family also wishes to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their attentive care. She was loved well and by many. Jane quick wit and faithful loving spirit will be greatly missed by all. Our family is forever grateful to all her caregivers, family, and friends.Jane is survived by her beloved brother, Dickie Thompson (Melba) and family; son Thomas Price and e Laura Calhoun; daughter Amy Cleaveland and spouse Derryl; grandchildren: Eric Cleaveland and spouse Jenna, Emily Benson and spouse Joel; along with her great grandchildren: Benjamin and Brice Benson and Claire Cleaveland. In lieu of flowers you may donate to Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL, 33131 or www.Parkinson.orgOnline condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
