It is with saddened, yet full hearts we announce that James Wesley Ford, met his Savior face-to-face on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, at the age of 78.
James met the love of his life Ruthie Belcher Ford and they celebrated their love for 52 years. Above all he was known for his unwavering love for the Lord and his family. He enjoyed God’s creation by watching the wildlife near his home and the quietness of hunting. Along with his wife, he was a devout member of Christ Church in West Monroe.
James was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on September 9th, 1945 to John Wesley Ford and Mary Brown Ford. Preceded in joining the Lord are his parents John Wesley Ford and Mary Brown Ford and his brother Emmett Ford.
James leaves his loving wife Ruthie Belcher Ford, daughters Tracy Ford (Will) Cumming, NaTanya Ford (Randy) Butler and Monya Ford (Scott) Martin. His grandchildren Mackenzie Luneau (Brady) Hamner, Rebekah Butler (Jake) Staples, Caleb (Daniella) Butler, Kara Martin (JT) Salmon, Joshua Butler, Meghan Cumming, Daniel (Skylar) Butler, Macy Cumming and Zach Martin. His siblings: Betty Ford Yarbro, Elizabeth Ford, Margaret Ford (Mike) Atkinson, Barbara Ford Patterson, Paul (Rita) Ford and Stephen Ford. He is survived by several loving great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 11-1 at the Hope Park Pavilion in West Monroe.
