On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, James Paul Kroemeke peacefully passed away at his home with his adoring wife, Katherine, by his side. The world has lost a loyal son, brother, husband; a quick-witted father and friend; and a wonderful human being.
Jim was born on June 25, 1944, in Vallejo, California. Jim, an Army veteran, traveled the world before calling Louisiana his home. Jim’s love of the outdoors led him to a life of farming. His hard work ethic and talents earned him awards in the catfish and cattle industries. However, the achievement Jim was most proud of was ensuring he took care of his wife and two girls.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Kimberly Jo Kroemeke. Jim is survived by his wife Katherine Kroemeke; children Kimberly Honicker (Michael) and Tiffany Morrow (Russell); sister Marla Dahlgren; and his beloved cousins – the Kansas crew.
Jim so often told his daughters, “education is the one thing no one can take away from you.” People wishing to honor Jim are encouraged to make a donation to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
All are invited to attend a visitation for Jim on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Coax Baptist Church, Winnsboro, LA. The funeral will follow at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 P.M., under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Immediately following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held at Coax Baptist Church.
