Funeral services for Mr. James “Jim” L. Griffin, 88, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until service time. Reverend Lynn Malone will officiate. Entombment will follow in Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens Open Air Chapel Mausoleum under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.Jim was a member of First United Methodist Church of Monroe. He was former President of Ouachita Candy Company and a past member of the board of directors for Coca Cola Bottling. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army.He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Sam Griffin; and his siblings, Odalie, Odell and Earl.He is survived by his wife, Linda Ellerbe Griffin; children, Kathye Cox, Cindy Griffin, King Griffin and his wife, Joanne, James Griffin and his wife, Claire; grandchildren, Ron, Hayley, Griffin, Brienne, James and Jack; and great-grandchildren, Kezlie, Zayne, Pierce, Hayes and Nora.Pallbearers will be Ron Hummel, Thomas Dean, Griffin Pirtle, Zayne Hummel, James Vickery, and Kendall Farrar.Online condolence messages may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA
