A celebration of the life of James Henry Kilgore will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Vienna, LA at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6. Jesus promised at Revelation 21:3,4 that in the near future death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore the former things have passed away. When we fall asleep in death God never forgets us though our friends May over time. God never forgets. What a blessing!!!

James was always "Mr. James" to all three of our sons during their growing up years at Calvary. He was always a positive influence in their lives. Even though our paths have not crossed very often these last few years, whenever he or Mrs. Margie crossed our minds, the memories it brought back were always fond memories. One of the finest men I ever knew. I can remember he asked me and my brother to help him straighten a Kilgore monument at the Vienna Cemetery. When me and Gary got through, Mr. James said this could be our meeting place because no one there would repeat what we had talked about. As Christians, Mr. James set an example we all should follow. I'll miss him.
