Graveside services for James “Jim” Beaird Jr., 91, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Liberty Cemetery, Linville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Scott Holder will be officiating.
James was born May 4, 1929 in Shreveport, LA and passed away July 16, 2020 in Monroe, LA. He served in the United States Navy and retired as a concrete salesman. He was a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church, Monroe, LA. James was preceded in death by his 2 wives, Eloise Beaird and Marilyn Beaird.
James is survived by 2 sons, James Lee Beaird (Kathy) and David Lane Beaird (Dianne); 2 step-sons, Rick Holder (Juanita) and Scott Holder(Dawn); 7 grandchildren, Clint Beaird and wife Taylor, Kaitlyn Beaird, Grant Beaird, Brett Beaird (June), Kailee Beaird, Gillian Holder and Jonathan Holder; 2 great-grandchildren, Tanner Beaird and Emmett Beaird.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
A special thanks for the care that was given to our dad at The Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home.

I only have the fondest memories of my Uncle Jim. I remember being on a business trip in Monroe for my then employer calling on customers in that region of Louisiana. I dropped by Monroe Concrete to say hello to my uncle and ended up making a tour with him around the area of Monroe in his company vehicle. It was a great visit and one of many others throughout my life. You are sorely missed.
