James was born September 9, 1938, in Farmerville, Louisiana and passed away on May 24, 2024, in Spring, Texas. He attended Farmerville High School and graduated from Louisiana Tech with an Engineering degree. James worked on the construction of Lake D’Arbonne dam, the ammunition plant in Minden, Louisiana, and for Mobil Oil Company in Covington, Georgia. He moved to Saudi Arabia in 1972, employed as an executive by Saudi Aramco Oil Company until his retirement in 1994. James traveled extensively around the world with his wife, Connie and they retired to Spring, Texas. He was an avid golfer and football fan. James was an active member of Kinsmen Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. One of his greatest joys in life was being a grandfather. James will be missed by family and friends throughout the world. He was preceded in death by, his first wife, Barbara Auger Nolan; son, James “Mitch” Nolan; daughter, Penny Rena Nolan; mother, Oleavia Eubanks Nolan Green, father, Lonnie B Nolan; stepfather, Willie Green; stepson,Thomas “David” Aulenbach; sister, Fay Albritton; brother, A J Nolan; brother-in-law, Jasper Rugg.
James is survived by his wife of 44 years, Constance Schippers Nolan; son, Michael E. Nolan wife Michelle; Grandsons, James and Clayton; stepdaughter, Tami Covington husband Patrick “Rick”; Step Grandson, Patrick; Step granddaughter, Casey Aulenbach; sister, Sylvia Rugg; sister-in-law, Glenda Nolan; brother-in-law, Bill Albritton; many cousins, nieces, and nephews and other cherished family and friends.
