James Allen Drewett

Funeral services for Mr. James Allen Drewett, 68, of West Monroe, LA will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Matt Romano officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, Louisiana under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.Mr. Drewett was born on April 16, 1939, in LeCompte, Louisiana to James T. Drewett and Loretha Snoddy Drewett. Mr. Drewett will always be remembered for his passion for life, kindness, his love of music and dance, and for all of the laughs and smiles he brought to everyone who came in contact with him.Mr. Drewett is survived by; his loving companion, Una Vee Swope; daughters: Penny Gilley Stanglin and husband Mike of Branson, MO and Darolyn Drewett of West Monroe, LA; granddaughters: Daniella Taylor of Edmond, OK, Amanda Lindsay of West Monroe, LA, Jerilyn Chevallier of Lewisville, TX, and Chelsey Drewett of Downsville, LA; two great-grandsons, Evan Steppy and Garrett Lindsay; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara and sister Eloise Swokla.The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, December 26, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.Pallbearers will be Bruce Swope, James Swope, Terry Cady, James Morris, Mark Norris, and Keith Norris.Honorary Pallbearers will be Northeast Aero R/C Club.
