Funeral service for J W (Dub) Morris of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 17, 2015 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Brother Jimmy Masters and Brother John Williams will be officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.J W (Dub) Morris was born to the union of Carvel Frank Morris and Lillie Mae Clark on June 9, 1932 in Jonesville, LA. He passed to his eternal home on July 14, 2015 surrounded by his family. J.W. married his sweetheart Mary Lou Fitzgerald on August 27, 1960, they shared 54 glorious, loving years together before Mary Lou departure on October 2014 and the next 81/2 months of his life were the most heart aching of all. He has joined his sweetheart again.They raised nine children together losing their first born daughter Linda in 2000 their hearts still ached. J.W. established Morris Trucking Inc. in early 1970 in West Monroe, LA. The Office to this day is a famous spot to stop for a cup of coffee and a good story or two, maybe three or four. Some were true some not but, J W could always tell a good story or joke. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carvel Frank Morris and Lillie Mae Clark, seven brothers and four sisters his loving wife Mary Lou of fifty four years and their daughter Linda Gayle.J W leaves behind three brothers Frank Morris, Ronnie Morris, Garland Clark, Jr.and wife Linda and two sisters Rosemary Weems and Gayle Byrnes and husband “Bull”; children, Karl Lindsey (Connie), Bobby Lindsey (Lisa K), James Morris (Pam), Cindy Keen (Ricky), Jerry Morris (Miranda), Kevin Morris (Lisa), Shari Almond (Billy), Kim Nesselrode (Roy Lee); grandchildren Brandy Keen, Shannon Ward (Josh), Steven Lindsey (Kati), Johnny Lindsey (Sarah), Jerrica Morris (Billy), Jessica Morris, Macie Normand, Patty Morris (Tommy), Tyler Nored (Becky), Chelsea Nored, Harli Casey (Brett), Mari Lee Hamilton; fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a huge host of loving friends. Pallbearers will be Mike Watson, Mike Tedeton, Austin Clements, Daniel Creekmore, Bill Frost, Wayne Johnson.Honorary pallbearers Ed Arrant, Randy Powell, Mark Morris.Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
