IWILLA BOSSIER HAMILTON Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Memorial services for Margaret Iwilla Bossier Hamilton, 96, of Ruston, formerly of Downsville, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Temple Baptist Church, Ruston, LA. Officiating will be the Revs. Dale Oden and Bill Easterling. Private interment will be held prior to the service in the Downsville Cemetery, Downsville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Hamilton was born October 12, 1916 in Goldonna, LA and she died Monday, December 10, 2012 in Ruston, LA. Mrs. Hamilton, a native of Winnfield, was an elementary school teacher. She was a graduate of Winnfield High School, Winnfield, LA and Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, LA where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. Her career included teaching in Winnfield, Kiroli Elementary in West Monroe, and Downsville. She was also active in her church, where she served as a Sunday School and Training Union teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bill F. Hamilton; her infant son, Thomas James Hamilton of Downsville, her sisters, Dessie Lee Bunch Mixon and husband Joe of Winnfield and Geraldine Terral and husband Silford of Minden ; her parents, Thomas Earl and Della Monroe Bossier of Winnfield; her grandparents, Winstead David and Alice Bethany Bossier of Sarepta and Walter L.A. Monroe of Denham Springs and Laura Lenora Clark Monroe of Goldonna, LA. Survivors include her son, Fred Hamilton and wife, Freida of Ruston; her grandson, Robert Hamilton and wife, Lenora of Plano, TX; her nephew Stephen J. Terral and wife Kathie of Memphis, TN; her sister-in-law Jackie Hamilton of Dubach; nieces, Nancy Green of West Monroe and Elaine Rupert and husband, Greg of Dubach; and nephew, Joe B. Hamilton, Jr. and wife Vicky of Dubach; several great-nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, Ruston, LA; the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Ruston, LA; the Downsville Baptist or Methodist Church, Downsville, LA; Alabama Presbyterian Church, Sibley, LA or the charity of one's choice.
