Ivy Ralph Barnes, 89, of West Monroe, LA was born March 13, 1933 in Rayville, LA and passed away September 25, 2022 in West Monroe, LA.
Ivy was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He was retired from Georgia Pacific Plant 60 as a Superintendant. Ivy was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Lela Barnes; brother William Jackson Barnes and son-in-law Kemmy McDonald.
Ivy is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margie Barnes; 2 daughters Vicky McDonald and Judy Stevens and husband William “Sandy”; 3 grandchildren; Ryan McDonald and wife Laura, Drew McDonald and wife Kelsey, Allison Walker and husband Sean; 3 great-grandchildren Aubrey McDonald, Gavin McDonald, Maddox McDonald and “one on the way” Colin McDonald.
Memorials may be made to Asbury Methodist Church or donor’s choice.
Private graveside services will be held at Hasley Cemetery with Rev. Nick Wagner officiating, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
