MARSHA LINAM left a message on August 12, 2022:
Mrs. Gates is one I remember first when I think of First West and those who welcomed me in. The words in this obituary are so true, I felt loved by her from the first time I met her. She shared her praline recipe with me and we had several conversations over the years about them. I never cared for pralines until I ate one of hers and then I was hooked. Always that sweet sweet smile on her gentle face that was reflected in her eyes. I always felt special when I got a chance to hug her. I am blessed to have known her. She will be missed.

Inez was a remarkable woman who spread sunshine wherever she went. We bowled together and worked together for many years. She will be missed by all who knew her. Thank you for all the laughs and good times and the wonderful memories. Rest in peace my friend.
