Graveside services for Imogene Rawls Nola will be held at 2:00 P.M on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at St. Matthews Catholic Church Cemetery. Lee DuBois will be officiating.
Imogene was born on April 4, 1932 to Henry Luther Rawls and Ethel Lewis Rawls in West Monroe, Louisiana. She lived her entire life in the Monroe/West Monroe/Ruston areas. She passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Imogene is preceded in death by her husband, Larry J. Nola, Sr.; parents; brothers, O.C., Maurice, Billy, Winfred, Bobby, and infant brother HC Rawls; sisters, Ruby Rawls Dowdy, Mildred Rawls Griffen ; granddaughter, Jessica L. Nola.
Imogene is survived by two daughters, Marilyn N. Gentry (Gary), Elaine N Jabbia (Charlie); five sons, Larry J. Nola (Debra), Paul L. Nola (Pam), Danny L. Nola (Sherry), Jim M. Nola (Marsha) and Bobby C. Nola (Kathy); sister, Patsy R. Garrett; brother, Richard Rawls (Joyce); sister-in-laws, Ginger Rawls and Linda Rawls.
Imogene was blessed with sixteen grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren with one on the way! She also had many cherished, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. Imogene enjoyed over the years being with her family, living with her sister, Patsy Garrett, for sixteen loving years, cooking, canning, flower gardening and hand embroidery.
The siblings want to gratefully and with much appreciation, thank Larry & Debra Nola and Marilyn Gentry for their wonderful, loving caretaking in their home during her last year. Also to her sitter, Vet Holland, for her care of Mama.
Imogene was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all in her life. She gave her heart to all who knew and loved her. Imogene will be greatly missed.
