Howard Lee Hobson was born January 16, 1938 in Shreveport, LA, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 12, 2017 after a seven month battle with the after effects of a hemorrhagic stroke.Visitation will be at Feazel Chapel of First Baptist Church, West Monroe, LA on April 17th at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 with Dr. Mark Fenn and Reverend Dwight Munn officiating.Howard graduated from Neville High School, Monroe, LA in the class of 1956. He then went on to earn a degree from Northeast Louisiana University, followed by a long career in the banking industry.He was a member of First Baptist Church, West Monroe where he especially enjoyed Sunday morning Bible Study with his many faithful friends of the Hoffman Life Group.Howard is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Linda, a son, Scott Hobson of West Monroe, a daughter, Jennifer Griffin and husband Mark, of Baton Rouge, LA; step-children are Melanie Norris Thorpe, John Thorpe, both of Greenville, South Carolina, Graham Norris and wife Susan of West Monroe; grandchildren are Andrew Dyke, Katelyn Thorpe, Will Thorpe, Rachel Norris, Nolan Norris, Ryan Griffin and Sterling Griffin.Honorary pallbearers will be Howard teammates on the Neville 1955 State Championship Football Team, as well as his fellow golfers at Calvert Crossing.In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to St. Jude, the Alzheimer Association or the charity of your choice.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA
