Mr. Carpenter, Colleen, Collette, & family, It is 5:00 pm on Friday & I just found about Mrs. Carpenter passing away. I deeply regret missing the visitation & funeral, & not being with you as you were always with me in times like these. Mrs Carpenter was always cordial to me, especially at the times I needed her most. The entire family is so special to me & I hope to see you soon. Again, my regrets for not being there & I will se you soon as you are very much in my thoughts & prayers. God bless you all. Bil Mitcham

Memories of Mrs. Hilda always remind me of a true southern Christian lady. Her manners were an example to all of us who graduated with Colleen. All knew her deep devtion and love for Coach Carpenter, her children, Colleen and Collette. Never once saw her without that precious contagious smile. May God be with you Coach Carpenter, Colleen, and Collette. Know that empty spot you have in your heart right now will feel with sweet and loving memories. Memories of this unique lady will live for generations.

My deepest condolences to Mr. Carpenter and his family in the loss of dear sweet Mrs. Hilda. She possessed one of the most beautiful smiles that was genuine and contagious to anyone that ever met her. I fondly recall how she never failed to ask about the family and catch me up on her own. I pray that you and your family will be comforted in the loving memories of her.

We pray for God’s peace, comfort, strength and encouragement to be given to Coach Carpenter, Colleen, Colette, and the entire family. The Carpenters were some of our first neighbors when the Morris family moved to Farmerville in 1966. Mrs. Carpenter extended love to us from the very beginning. We have many good memories including rides in the back of the old truck out to Revels farm. May God bless you all as you gather for the services. Michael and Nelwyn Morris
