Funeral services for Herman Hattaway, 82, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Rev. Ricky Baker will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Herman was born on January 19, 1942 and went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2024 at his home in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was a welder for over 57 years and part of the Pipeliners Union 798. Herman is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was Assembly of God faith and loved the Lord and his family fiercely. He was a pilot and an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt and play golf. Herman was preceded in death by parents, Dennis and Jessie Hattaway; step-mother, Faye Hattaway; brother, Jerry Hattaway; in-laws, Earl and Geneva Watts.
Herman is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice Watts Hattaway; daughters, Amber Osbon and husband Brad, Ginger Williams and husband Eric; grandchildren, Hunter Williams, Autumn Willis and husband Lawrence, Seth Williams, and Andrew Osbon; brother, Marlin Hattaway; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Hunter Williams, Seth Williams, Andrew Osbon, Mike Watts, Shannon Hattaway, Jay Hattaway, and Mark Watts.
