Graveside services for Helen A. “Aunt Net” Harris, age 83, of Ruston, will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Vernon, LA.  Officiating the service will be Bro. Mitchell Miles.  A visitation will be held from 5:00PM – 7:00PM Monday, January 31, 2022, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harris, known to other family members as “Aunt Net” was born in Vernon, LA on November 20, 1938 and died on January 29, 2022, in Vernon, LA. She worked as a typesetter for the newspaper, a garment inspector for infant clothing, and is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Rufo and Helen Elizabeth Jones,  brother, John Parker Jones; and husband, John Wesley Harris.

She is survived by her children: David Harris and wife Pat of Vernon, LA; Karen McMillan and husband Michael of Rayville, LA; and Danny Harris of Vernon, LA; 4-grandchildren: Coty Amason, Troy Santana, Christopher McMillan, and Chase McMillan; 6-great grandchildren: Michael, Noah, Cadon, Anna-Gail, Ryan, and Audrey; and siblings:  Betty Sue McCarty and Robbie Ruth Lewis.

Pallbearers: Jesse Brown, Ricky Brown, Dylan Caples, Chris McMillan, Andrew Morrow, and Randy Morrow.
