Funeral services for Hazel Turnage Roberts, 94, of Farmerville, LA, will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Kurt Auger, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Farmerville. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mother was born on August 8, 1918 in Union Parish and passed away on January 13, 2013, at Union General Hospital at the age of 94. Mother was called home to be with God and all her loved ones that preceded her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Orena Turnage: daughter, Shelbie McVay; sister, Elizabeth Hodnett Mills; and husband Grady Roberts, who was truly the love of her life. In the early 60's mother decided to start traveling with daddy on his pipeline jobs that took them to many states including Alaska. They had a wonderful life and made many friends in their travels. They retired on Lake Darbonne where many fish fries were enjoyed by friends and family. Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Bob Jones; and son Ralph Jeannie Roberts. Grandchildren are Johnny Chasity Talley; Steve Debra Talley; Greg Tina Talley; Kathy Bobby Nola; Jennifer Joe Giovingo; and Matt Misty Roberts. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Johnny Talley, Steve Talley, Greg Talley, Matt Roberts, Bobby Nola, Jr., and Brian Nola. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
