Funeral services for Ms. Hazel Inez Johnson, 91, of Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, Monroe Louisiana with Brother Jeremiah Andrews and Brother Josh Beshea officiating. Interment will follow at Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown, Louisiana. Inez was born July 6, 1926 in Jones, LA and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 10, 2017 in Monroe, LA. She was a loving mother to her children and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren . She worked several years as personnel manager for K-Mart. She was a resident at the Oaks Nursing Home at the time of her death. Her sister Etta, granddaughter Misty Ratcliff, and sister in law Valerie Lacas were her caregivers and visited Inez weekly. She was of the Baptist faith and attended church as she was able. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; three sisters; son, Mike Snead, daughters, Jacki Swenk and Sandy Snead; and grandson Timothy Snead. Survivors include her sister, Etta Maxey of Monroe; brother, Melvin Lacas of Hemet, California; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Visitation is 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday, November 13, 2017 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe. Me & Sandy were best friends in high school and beyond... we had a lot of fun at Ms. Snead's house. I was probably there every weekend and she would take us anywhere we wanted to go, and I remember Ms. Snead would go Square dancing on the weekend nights. A lot of memories at that house. I pray for her family and my niece and nephew. I'm sure she is happy now that she is with her children once again. RIP Ms. Snead, you were always a wonderful person and always treated me with love and kindness, also I remember as she got older she always looked the same, a beautiful woman.
