Haskel Boyd, 76, of Dubach, LA passed away on May 6, 2017 at his home. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Henry Cemetery in Dubach, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Haskel was a poultry farmer. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Green. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Boyd, of Dubach, LA; his son, Christopher Montana Boyd and wife, Merideth, of Ruston, LA; grandchildren: Molly Boyd and Madeline Boyd; his brother, Cecil Boyd and wife, Willie, of Slidell, LA; his sisters, Kathryn Newell of McComb, MS and Loraine Johnston of Laurel, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.Pallbearers will be Tommy Doss, Larry Billberry, Bruce Carter, Ken Smith, Stan Jones, and Cody Richard. Thought of Mr. Haskel, he was rough around the edges at times but that was just a front. He was a good fellow and always treated me with respect and I returned the same. He will be missed. Ms. Shirley sorry I can't make it to the service today, but I will be with you in thought and prayer.

Played a of golf in the summer and dominoes in the winter with Haskel. He was one of the best dominoe players I have ever known. A good friend and he will certainly be missed at Meadow Lake Golf Course.
