Funeral services for Harvey Ray Gibson Sr., 57 of West Monroe will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2011at Luna Methodist Church. Alan Robertson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Luna Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Ray was born February 1, 1954 in Monroe, LA and passed away November 16, 2011 at home surrounded by family. He loved hunting, fishing and playing dominoes. He also loved joking around with family and friends. Ray served in the United States Marines Corps and the Marine reserves. He was preceded in death by his father, James “Hoot” Gibson; sister, Barbara Wilson and nephew, Logan Wilson. He is survived by his wife; Dianna; sons, Alif and wife Lynn, Jimmy and wife Becky, Harvey and wife Jennifer; daughter Carla Hofler and husband Shane; mother, Maudie Gibson; sister, Lisa Robertson and husband Alan ;12 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM until service time at the church.
