Funeral services for Harvey Lee Hammond, Sr., 84, of Calhoun, will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Bro. Gary Sapp will officiate.  Interment will follow at McCormick Cemetery, West Monroe under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe.  A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Harvey was born on October 23, 1940 in Calhoun and passed away on June 28, 2025 at his residence.  Harvey was in the United States Army Reserve and stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Upon returning home, he worked for Southern Equipment Tractor Company and Head & Enquist Equipment. Harvey was a member of the Urim Masonic Lodge # 111 and Barak Shrine Temple. He loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Thomas Hammond and Audrey Steed Hammond; siblings, Sybil Brown and husband Ed, Ralph Hammond and wife Peggy, and Paul T. Hammond.

Harvey is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jo Bedgood Hammond; children, Cynthia Hammond Davis and Harvey Lee Hammond, Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer Sandifer and husband Troy, Heath Hammond and wife Erica; great-grandchildren, Bailee Sandifer, Rowan Sandifer and Harper Hammond; sister, Gloria Rentz and husband Carl; numerous nieces and nephews; along with other cherished family and friends.

Honoring Harvey as pallbearers are Harvey Hammond, Heath Hammond, Troy Sandifer, Herbert Bedgood, Shawn Diel, Tommy Stivers and Chris Shackleford.
