Funeral services for Harold Nathan Arrant, 81, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe with Brother Eddy Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mr. Arrant was born September 24, 1931 in Ouachita Parish and passed away January 5, 2013 in West Monroe. He was a member of Community Baptist Church, a veteran of the US Air Force, played baseball with Delta of Calhoun, LA, coached Dixie Youth Baseball, and retired after 42 years of service as supervisor at Riverwood. He was preceded in death by his parents Bennett and Myrtle Arrant, a brother, R. B. Arrant, and three sisters, Oliece Frost, Marie Mayes, and Lois Beavers. He is survived by his wife, Lavenia Arrant of 55 years; three sons, Harold Glenn Arrant and wife Dona, Bobby Arrant and wife Sandy, and Jerry Arrant and wife Julie; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Matt and wife Jessica, Cory, Seth, Judy, Jade, and Josh; two brothers, Prentice Arrant and Clifford Arrant; three sisters, Betty Greer, Billy Arrant, and Linda Rogers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are grandsons and nephews Richard Arrant and Joey Beavers. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, January 7, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
